P-PLUS UPGRADE | FARMWORKS

 

We are pleased to announce that an upgrade to your existing P-Plus is now available.  P-Plus version 3.21 includes some new features listed below.  One of the most useful enhancements to the mapping module is the addition of the mouse scroll wheel on the map, this allows you to easily move (Pan) and zoom around your map.  This is excellent if you are doing a lot of updates or drawing a new part of the farm.

 

If you are currently using P-Plus older than version 3.21 the following enhancements are now available.  You may already have some of these features as the list below is from v2.21 to v3.21.

 

Pasture Covers

 

• Feed Wedge allows for X axis to show number of paddocks.
• Now able to select multiple paddocks as shut up.
• Feed Wedge report show paddock name, long ways.
• Cover on date now shows date and cover for the last assessment.
• Farm Name is displayed on Feed Wedge.
• Feed Wedge optimum line works for Land Management units, eg two herds.
• Maps showing cover show the date or cover and average cover.
• Cover on date report will show Land Management unit name. Eg Herd Name.
• Walk Order can be displayed on "Cover on date" report.
• Pasture Estimates can be created by growing real pasture readings with growth figures from local farms or a selection of assessed paddocks on the farm.
• Tonnes Grown report is now available, reports on Annual tonnes grown.
• Available dry matter (allows for residual) can be displayed on Cover on date report.

 

Feed Budget

 

• Same Supplement can be used more than once a year.
• Supplement can be fed to specific stock, not just all stock.
• Multi day now grazes to residual or 12hr or 24hr.
• Full Feed Budget graphs can be printed.
• Cover Targets default to the ones set in Pasture Covers.
• Single and Multiday reports allow for user to set demand per head.
• Multiday sorts paddocks to show highest cover at top.
• Multiday shows paddocks that do not have enough available DM as red.
• Multiday reports show the cover left after desired grazing period.
• Full Feed Budget defaults to today as the start day and end 12 months in the future.
• Full Feed Budget includes a very useful full year summary.

 

Mapping

 

• Can save a portion of a zoomed map as a new map.
• Shows the Pest and Weeds on the map.
• Download waypoints from Garmin GPS60 and GPS60csx handheld units.
• Export Map to Garmin GPS60csx or Google Earth.
• Scroll wheel can be used to zoom and pan map.
• Text map report shows the total amount of fences and water system in metres and costs.

 

Reports

 

• Paddock reports can be set to use a Land Management unit
• Fertiliser reports show the constituents.  Allows kg/Hectare of N to be found for a year.

 

Other Areas

 

• Ongoing backups do not overwrite existing backups, so if required older backups can be restored.
• P-Plus now works on Vista and Windows XP 64 bit operating systems.
